Short Bio:
I am a Ph.D. student in the Signal, Data, and Imaging Science (SDIS) Lab, Electrical and Computer Engineering Dept., University of Rochester, working under the supervision of Prof. Mujdat Cetin, Aug 2018-Now. I am also a Ph.D. scholar in AR/VR NRT (NSF Research Traineeship) program, Aug 2020-Now.
Before that, I was a researcher (Sep 2013-Sep 2016) with the Digital Signal Processing Lab, Electrical Engineering Dept., Tehran Polytechnique (Amirkabir University of Technology) working on Compressive sensing applications on biomedical signals and signal reconstruction under the supervision of Prof. Hamidreza Amindavar. I received my MSc. and BSc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tehran Polytechnique in Oct. 2015 and Sep. 2013 respectively. Also, I received a second MSc. degree from ECE Dep. of the University of Rochester in Oct. 2020.
Research Interests:
My research interests are more focused on computational imaging and low-level computer vision, medical image reconstruction, optimization and machine learning, statistical signal processing tools for Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital camera imaging (ISP and graphics), and visual computing for computer architects. I am currently developing constrained optimization algorithms composed of AI and physical models that solve challenging inverse imaging problems including global image restoration tasks (like image reconstruction) and local ones (such as image deconvolution, super-resolution, deblurring, etc.). Computer imagery problems consist of a broad range of imaging applications while I am concentrating on medical imaging such as MRE and Ultrasound elasticity imaging these days.
